is made up of employees with a strong background in bio-chemistry, bio-technology,
chemistry, physical-chemistry and polymer-chemistry. The development
team is supported by reliable and experienced laboratory personnel.
EyeSense also collaborates with partners in the segments bio-technology
as well as electronics/ optics.

Peter Herbrechtsmeier PhD, CEO
Peter Herbrechtsmeier holds a PhD in physical chemistry. He looks back at more than 20 successful years as CEO in the high-tech-industry. His core competences lie in the sector of medical devices, where he has been in charge of developing new business fields for consumer health. He developed, e.g. the daily-disposable lens business for CIBA Vision, which for years has been and still is the biggest business of CIBA Vision. As Vice-President he managed R&D at CIBA Vision`s US-headquarters in Atlanta, USA, in 2002; following he was promoted to CEO of a newly founded strategic business unit for tear-film diagnostic in 2003.

Achim Müller, PhD, CSO
Achim Müller has more than 14 years of experience in Research and Development of medical products. During his career he held various positions as manager. He is specialized in interdisciplinary international Research and Development projects. He managed e.g. the R&D department of a strategic business unit of CIBA Vision; one of the world’s leading contact lens manufacturers.
Achim Müller is inventor and co-inventor of 40 patents and patent applications which partly
have led to highly successful commercial products.
